Nokia just announced their all new metal designed Windows Phone this morning called the Lumia 925. All I could feel as I was looking at The Verge's live coverage was pity for Nokia. They make gorgeous phones from great materials and are the only ones progressively enhancing and building on the Windows Phone 8 platform with little reward in terms of sales and profit. All the other manufacturers are just waiting for someone else to come along and do the heavy lifting for them.
I admire Nokia's resolve to stick with Windows Phone only, but a large part of me is thinking that if they brought their phones and software enhancements to Android, that they would make huge sales and really challenge Samsung to be the top selling Android manufacturer.
I'm not really sure if their CEO, an ex-Microsoft employee, is looking out for Nokia or Microsoft's best interests.
